I overheard a veteran installer in Phoenix say he uses a cheap plastic putty knife to gently pry coax from under baseboards without marking the wall.

Tried it on a job yesterday and it saved me at least 10 minutes of careful coax fishing and kept the paint perfect, so what other simple tool hacks have you guys picked up over the years?

Oh man, that's a solid tip. I've used a plastic spudger from an old phone repair kit for the same thing, works like a charm on trim. Another one for me is keeping a few strong magnets in my bag. I stick one to a screwdriver to hold screws in place when I'm working overhead in a tight attic space. Saves a ton of time fishing around for dropped hardware.

Hot take: Game changer for sure. That magnet trick is brilliant, I'm stealing that for my next attic crawl. A buddy showed me to wrap a little electrical tape around pliers jaws when you need to grip something fragile without scratching it. Works on fittings and small parts. The best hacks always come from guys who've been doing this forever.
