My old shop boss said to never trust a drawer front to stay flat, and he was right
Back when I was starting out in Sacramento, my boss Ray told me to always screw a cleat to the back of wide drawer fronts before glue up, said wood moves no matter how dry it feels. I figured he was just being paranoid, so I skipped it on a set of 34 inch maple fronts for a kitchen job. Two months later the homeowner called and two of them had cupped so bad the reveals looked like a smile. Ray just nodded and handed me a drill, didn't even say a word. Anyone else got a boss from back in the day whose advice you ignored and then paid for?
