Showerthought: a customer's offhand remark about my sausage
A guy at my counter last week said my breakfast links were 'honest,' which made me pause. I realized he meant the grind was consistent and the seasoning wasn't hiding anything. Do you ever get feedback that makes you rethink a basic part of your process?

Ever get a comment that sticks with you like that? That "honest" remark is solid feedback about your core product, not just a one-off compliment. I'd write it down and use it to check your next few batches against that standard.

Yeah, I used to brush off those simple comments as just being nice. But a customer once told me my bread "tasted like my grandma made it," and that hit different. Now I keep that note in the kitchen and ask myself if each new loaf would pass her test. It totally changed how I see feedback.
