Cut my hand on a bandsaw at 6am yesterday

Was breaking down a hindquarter at the shop in Philly and got distracted by a delivery guy. Slipped and the blade caught my thumb - nothing major, just a flap of skin. Took me 20 minutes to get the bleeding stopped and the floor cleaned up. Anyone else ever zone out and have a close call first thing in the morning?

Keep your knives sharp, dull ones make you force cuts and lose focus.

20 minutes to stop bleeding sounds like a big deal but honestly that's a tiny cut lol. Bandsaws are scary but they're usually pretty forgiving with small stuff like that. I've had way worse from just a bad knife slip breaking down a case of ribs. People act like every cut is a trip to the ER but most of the time it's just annoying. You probably bled more from cleaning up the floor than the actual wound.
