Tried the cash envelope thing for 2 weeks and ended up with $60 I forgot about
So I decided to try cash envelopes for groceries and gas about 2 weeks ago, pulled out $200 for the first run at the Kroger on 5th. I ended up with $60 left over because I kept skipping little stuff without thinking about it, which never happens when I just swipe my card. Kind of weird that having the physical cash made me more careful, but I'm not sure if that's just a new-toy thing that wears off. Has anyone kept this up past the first month or does it fall apart once you stop paying attention?
