I spent a whole Saturday setting up a sinking fund tracker for my car repairs and property taxes, only to realize my formulas were double counting the monthly contributions. It took me 6 hours to catch the error because the totals looked fine on paper but were way off when I checked my actual bank balance. Has anyone else had a budget spreadsheet lie to them for days before you spotted the mistake?
