PSA: My camera hobby budget was a mess until I set a monthly cap
I kept buying fancy camera gear thinking it would fix my bad shots. My credit card debt got real high from all those lenses. I made a strict rule to spend only eighty dollars a month on photography. I sold the extra stuff and now use just my basic camera. Since I stopped shopping, I take more pictures and learn actual skills. Spending less cash made me focus on getting better, not having new things. Try a tight budget for your hobby and see how it changes your game.

Why do we always fall for the idea that new stuff equals instant skill? I see it with my friend who buys fancy running shoes but never jogs. People get the best paint sets and still can't draw a straight line. Setting a hard limit like your eighty dollars forces real practice. It cuts out the noise and makes you learn the actual craft.

Wince thinking about my expensive camera that I swore would make me a photographer... it mostly takes great pictures of my coffee table. That kit lens might as well be glued on. You're totally right, the fancy gear just lets you make worse pictures with better quality. My phone forced me to actually learn about light and framing.
