Got hit with a $340 car repair in Toledo and my grocery budget saved the day
Last Tuesday my alternator died on the way to work in Toledo and the shop quoted me $340 I did not plan for. I almost panicked, but then I remembered I had been putting $50 a week into a separate savings account since January for stuff exactly like this. It felt so good to just pay it and not put a single thing on my credit card. How do you all decide how much to keep in your emergency fund versus your regular savings?
