Dropped $65 on a 'skip the line' pass in Rome and still waited 90 minutes
I bought one of those official looking skip the line tickets for the Colosseum online about 3 weeks before my trip, paid $65 for what was supposed to save me time. Got there at 9am and the group entrance had maybe 200 people in it, so I just stood there sweating for an hour and a half while people who bought the $18 regular ticket walked right past on the other side. Turns out the real move is buying direct from the official site at a set time slot, and I want to know if anyone else got played by these third party ticket sites.
