Wasted $40 on garlic infused olive oil that went bad in 3 weeks

I bought a fancy bottle of garlic olive oil from the farmers market thinking it would save me time mincing garlic for pasta. After 21 days it smelled off and I had to toss half the bottle. Now I just buy regular olive oil and add fresh garlic cloves to the pan. Has anyone else fallen for overpriced specialty oils that don't even last?

21 days? That's wild, I've never had any infused oil go bad that fast even in summer.

My grandma's basil oil turned on me after two weeks actually, so yeah I totally changed my mind on this.
