Tried making lentil soup with cheap dried lentils from Aldi

I soaked them for like 8 hours and they still came out crunchy as hell after cooking for an hour. Anyone else have luck with a certain brand of lentils that actually soften up right?

Try soaking them overnight next time - Aldi lentils work fine for me.
