That frost depth stat nearly bit me on a job in Minnesota

I was reading the local building code last week and found out frost goes down 80 inches in some spots up here. We had a footing pour scheduled and thank god I checked because our plans only called for 60. The inspector wouldve flagged it and we wouldve been tearing out cured concrete. Anyone else run into frost depth surprises that the engineer missed?
