Peat moss vs coir, switched after a mold disaster in my greenhouse

I used peat for everything for years, but my seedling trays in Asheville kept getting this white fuzz no matter what I did. Tried coco coir on a whim for a 60-cell tray of tomatoes and peppers, and the difference was night and day. Drainage felt better and the mold just stopped showing up. Anyone else had better luck with coir once they actually compared side by side?

Did you fix the airflow or watering schedule when you switched, or was coir the only change? I've run both in the same trays with the same fan setup, and white fuzz still showed up on the coir whenever I overwatered. Mold usually means too much moisture sitting around, and coir just hides it better until it dries out harder than peat.
