Appreciation post: the hairdryer trick that saved my warped boards
I had a stack of old book boards that got damp in my basement in Omaha and warped so bad my press couldn't flatten them. I read somewhere to hit them with a hairdryer on low for 5 minutes then press them right away while they're still warm, and 8 of the 10 boards came out flat as new. Anyone else use heat on warped boards, or do you just toss them and start over?
