Appreciation post: The library audiobook version of Pride and Prejudice totally won me over
I used to think audiobooks were cheating, especially for classics. Last month my hold for the paper copy had a 6 week wait, so I grabbed the free Libby audiobook instead. The narrator's voice made Mr. Darcy sound way less stuffy and more awkward, which is how he is in the book. By chapter 20 I was hooked and finished it in 4 days, which is twice as fast as I would have read it. Has anyone else had an audiobook narrator change their take on a character they already hated?

So you traded six weeks of waiting for four days of Mr. Darcy sounding like a nervous dork, where do I sign up for that kind of cheating?
