Overheard a PM say boilermakers are just 'metal assemblers' today
Was walking past the site office trailer and heard this project manager tell an intern that our whole trade is basically snapping parts together like Lego. Man, I spent 6 hours yesterday in 90 degree heat in Baton Rouge aligning a 14 foot drum flange with only a 2 ton come-along and a prayer. This guy couldn't read a weld symbol if his life depended on it. How do we get these office types to understand what we actually do when they never set foot on the iron?
