10,000 presses and the thing still found a way to surprise you, that is honestly kind of impressive in a sad way. You would think by number 10,000 the bottom bracket would just give up and slide in out of respect for your dedication. But no, bikes never cooperate when it actually matters, they only behave when nobody is watching. My guess is it went in crooked at the last second or the threads decided to fight you for no reason at all. Either way, congrats on the milestone I guess, even if the bike clearly did not get the memo.
