Freezing leftover rice in a muffin tin vs. flattening it in a zip bag, which one actually saves you time?
Last month I cooked 6 cups of jasmine rice for a dinner party in Austin and had about 3 cups left, so I pressed it into a muffin tin and froze it into pucks while my roommate just flattened hers into a zip bag and broke off chunks when she needed them. The pucks were way easier to drop straight into a pan for fried rice, but they took up a ton of freezer space and I cracked one of my ice cube trays trying to pop them out. Which one do you go with, or is there a third way that doesn't leave rice stuck to everything?
