Unpopular opinion: I think fading with trimmers first then clippers gives cleaner lines than the usual way around
Was doing a high fade on a regular last Tuesday in Wichita and my trimmer slipped mid-section, left a dent I had to blend out with zero guard, but somehow the client said it looked sharper than my normal method, so which order do you guys actually start with for a clean fade?

So you're saying the slip actually worked out better? That's rough when a mistake happens but kind of a relief when it ends up looking good. Had a similar thing happen where a client actually liked the accidental change better than what I planned.

Man that's honestly the best kind of accident to have! It's wild how sometimes our hands just know what to do even when our brain is messing up. Those happy little mistakes always seem to turn into the stuff people love the most.
