My first mentor in Omaha swore by cheap clippers, I think he was wrong
He told me to spend $60 on a clipper and replace it every year instead of buying one $300 set, so I did that for 2 years. The blades kept pulling on thick hair and I had clients complaining about the snagging, plus I was paying for replacements anyway. I finally bought a proper corded pair last month and the difference in one pass is night and day. Any other barbers out there stuck with budget tools early on and regret it, or did cheap actually work for someone?
