Hit 500 haircuts today and it felt weirdly official
I mean, I've been cutting hair out of my garage setup for like 2 years now, mostly friends and neighbors. But today I did my 500th cut and I actually counted them in my logbook, which I started just to track blade sharpening cycles. It hit me that 500 is a real milestone, not just a random number, especially since I'm at about 12 cuts a week on average. Has anyone else kept a count like this, and did it change how you looked at your work?

Counting 500 cuts is just what you do when you need to track blades. The number itself doesn't change the work. A haircut is a haircut, whether it's your first or your five hundredth. You're still doing the same thing, same mistakes, same wins. People get weird about milestones and treat them like they mean something. But honestly, 12 cuts a week for two years is just someone who's consistent, not special. You probably already had the skills figured out at cut 200.
