The $35 knockoff Godzilla figure that split my shelf crew in two
Picked up a bootleg Godzilla from a flea market in Akron for 35 bucks. On one side, it's hilariously bad, the paint is a mess and one arm falls off mid roar, but it's become the star of my bad movie night table. On the other side, my buddy swears it ruins the vibe because it's not 'authentically bad' like the actual film props. So which matters more, the cost and the laughs or the legit status of what you're displaying? Has anyone else gambled on a cheap knockoff that either saved a viewing party or made everyone roll their eyes?

My buddy Dan grabbed a fake Boba Fett helmet at a garage sale for 20 bucks. It's got a crooked visor and the paint is flaking off, but we wore it during a marathon and it got more laughs than the actual movie. His girlfriend said it was disrespectful to the real props, but she was hiding a smile the whole time. That thing now lives on his desk and everyone who comes over wants to try it on.
