Rant: The 1997 version of The Island of Dr. Moreau is way better than people say
Everyone hates on the behind-the-scenes chaos, but the final cut actually has this weird dreamlike tone that the 1977 one totally lacks. Marlon Brando's ice cream scene alone is worth the rental fee, and the practical effects hold up better than most CGI stuff from that decade. Am I the only one who thinks the messiness is what makes it fun?
