Saw a backyard in Portland with rain barrels hooked to the downspout, now I'm rethinking my whole setup
My cousin in Portland set up two 55 gallon rain barrels off her garage downspout and she hasn't touched her hose in 3 weeks. I always figured they'd turn into mosquito hotels, but she showed me the screen mesh tops and said the water is way better for her tomatoes than tap. Anyone here running rain barrels in a place that actually gets rain, and how do you keep the gutters from clogging them up?
