Gave up on bagged mulch for my flower beds after 3 summers of watching it wash into the alley
Switched to free wood chips from the city brush site off Route 9 and they held through the last 2 big storms without moving an inch. The mulch companies say chips steal nitrogen, so has anyone actually seen a plant suffer from it or is that just a sales pitch?
