My 3rd attempt at a quarter panel patch finally laid flat

Took me 2 hours of hammering and shrinking but the key was stopping the weld warpage with a wet rag every 4 inches, has anyone else found that tack spacing matters more than technique on thin Nissan metal?

Took me 2 hours of hammering and shrinking" sounds about right, my last patch took so long I started naming the dents. I've definitely found that on thin Nissan metal, tack spacing beats pure elbow grease every time, wet rag trick is a game changer too. That warpage will fight you harder than any rust ever did, but hey, at least we're not paying someone else to lose that fight.
