Can we talk about granite countertops being way overrated in Atlanta

Everyone in my Buckhead condo group raves about granite, but I pulled mine out after 3 summers of stains from red wine and lemon juice. Quartz or even solid surface holds up way better in this humidity, has anyone else switched and not looked back?
