The grocery store line that made me question my whole evening routine

Last Tuesday at the Safeway on 5th Avenue, I was in line at 6:30pm with a cart full of stuff, and my debit card got declined because I forgot to transfer money between accounts. I had 15 items, the guy behind me was sighing like his life depended on it, and I just stood there fumbling with my banking app for 5 minutes. Somehow I managed to move $200 over and pay, but I swore off setting my bills to auto-pay from the wrong account again. Has anyone else had a checkout moment where you just wanted to disappear into the floor tiles?
