Am I the only one who blew $340 on a home warranty that covered basically nothing?
Signed up for one of those $45 a month home warranty plans last November after my furnace started making noise, thinking I was being smart. When the blower motor died in January they said it was "normal wear" and wanted a $125 fee just to send a guy out, then quoted me $900 for the repair. Canceled it and paid a local guy $340 cash instead, so I basically lit a year of premiums on fire. Has anyone actually gotten a home warranty to pay for anything?
