I finally saw why some cities plant those tough little trees after a trip downtown

Their twisted trunks fighting through pavement cracks showed me how much grit a street tree really needs.

Doubt it's that deep. They're just trees doing what they do.

Doing what they do'? @tessah32, tell that to the pavement cracks.

Those roots are literally breaking concrete, seems pretty deep to me.
