Just realized a trick for those tricky Samsung washer door lock assemblies

Last month, I had one that wouldn't latch, and the customer was ready to buy a new machine. Instead of replacing the whole lock, I found the little plastic actuator arm inside the door was just worn down. I built it back up with a tiny dab of JB Weld, filed it smooth, and it's been working for 3 weeks now. Anyone else have a go-to fix for these plastic parts that saves a full assembly swap?

Built it back up with JB Weld"... that's a real fix? I'd be worried it just snaps off again.

Honestly, that JB Weld trick is the kind of hack that keeps my old appliances running on spite and a prayer. Shah.ben has a point about it maybe snapping, but sometimes you just need a cheap fix to buy time until the part actually comes in. My own repair history is basically a museum of questionable temporary solutions that became permanent. If it works for three weeks, you're already winning.
