Appreciation post: turning off the dub saved a show for me

I was forcing myself through a mecha series last month and kept zoning out during fight scenes. Then I switched to subs and suddenly the pacing clicked, the voice actors carried way more emotion. I always thought dubs were easier for multitasking, but this one was killing the hype. Has anyone else found that the language track can make or break a series for you?
