Hot take: I blew $260 on a fancy meal kit for 2 months and my grocery bill went UP
I signed up for one of those meal kit boxes back in March because I was sure it would save me money and time on dinners. Two months and $260 later, I did the math and I was still spending $90 a week at the grocery store on top of it, mostly on stuff to make the tiny meals actually filling. The real kicker was all the plastic bags and cold packs piling up in my garage in Kansas City, plus I still had to cook and do dishes every single night. I finally looked at my bank app and saw 8 separate charges I never even noticed. Has anyone else done the math on these boxes, or am I the only one who got suckered by the intro price?
