Put a $40 smart thermostat in our Red Deer house in January and my furnace ran less, not more
I figured a setback schedule would just delay the cold mornings, but after 5 weeks our gas bill dropped about $18 a month and the house actually felt steadier. My wife swears the old dial thermostat was fighting us the whole time, and I'm starting to think she's right. Has anyone else seen a setback schedule backfire in a really cold snap, or did it just work out for you too?
