Just hit 200 residential installs without a single false alarm callback
Been tracking this since I started keeping notes. 200 jobs, no callbacks for false alarms from motion sensors or anything. Key was using pet immune sensors and actually walking the zone during programming. Curious how other people handle their false alarm rate

Wait, are you counting the dogs as part of your install crew?

Honestly the dog thing is a good point though. I've had a few jobs where the homeowner swears their 80lb lab can't possibly trip a pet immune sensor and then surprise surprise it does. I think people underestimate how sensitive those sensors still are. Walking the zone during programming is the real secret though, I do that on every install now even if it takes an extra 10 minutes. You catch so many weird quirks in the coverage pattern that way.
