Why does no one tell you frozen fries need a single layer?
I read the manual for my 5.8 quart Cosori last week and it says to cook fries in a single layer, but my basket barely fits one potato worth without stacking. I have been piling them two inches high for 6 months and wondering why the middle ones stay pale and sad while the edges burn. Do you all actually cook in batches, or is there some trick I am missing?
Wait, two inches high for six months?? I am actually dying laughing because that is some serious dedication to not reading the manual. But also, who has time to cook fries in like four batches for one dinner? That single layer rule sounds like it was written by someone who has never fed hungry kids at 6pm. I just shake the basket halfway through and call it good enough, the crispy ones and the pale ones even out eventually.
