Unpopular opinion: My block party eats are all air fryer stuff now.

I went to a local get-together last Saturday and had a weird thought. Every plate on the table was cooked using an air fryer. No one brought a slow-cooked stew or a pan-seared steak. It struck me that quick recipes are taking over how we share food. I recall my mom putting effort into her casseroles for hours. These days, folks just pop pre-cut veggies or frozen snacks into the air fryer. It saves time, but the whole event felt a bit samey. I wonder if we're trading flavor for speed without even noticing. My own air fryer does a good job with chicken wings, though.

Your block party menu sounds like the home appliance aisle threw up. Guess we traded potlucks for plug-ins.

Slow cookers at our block party just mean more pulled pork for everyone. @rodriguez.charles, is it really that bad if people bring appliances? Potlucks still happen, just with less hassle. Honestly, the food tastes better and stays hot.
