How burnt are we talking here?

Notice how "burnt" went from a kitchen thing to a whole mood, like @noah_patel said. My phone battery is burnt by noon, my patience is burnt after a long line at the store, even my favorite shows feel burnt after too many seasons. It's the perfect word for when something is just completely done, no fuel left at all.

You asking "how burnt" makes me think about how we use that word for everything now! It's not just toast or food, it's like a whole feeling. People say they're burnt from work, burnt out on social media, even burnt by friends who let them down. I notice it's become our go way to say something is totally used up or past its limit. Kind of wild how one word covers crispy bread and being tired of life!
