My air fryer basket finally gave up after 4 years of daily use
Last Tuesday I pulled out my basket to flip some chicken thighs and the nonstick coating just peeled off in big flakes. I've used that thing every single day since I bought it in 2021, mostly for frozen fries and salmon. The flakes got all over my food and I had to toss the whole batch. Has anyone else had their basket wear out this fast, and what did you switch to? I'm debating between just buying a replacement basket or trying one of those silicone liners I keep seeing online.

4 years of daily use" is the part that gets me. My basket started chipping around year 3 and I kept using it like an idiot, just picking the flakes out. But honestly, daily use for 4 years might be pretty normal for these things. Did you hand wash it the whole time or toss it in the dishwasher? I've heard dishwasher soap eats the coating way faster. I'd skip the silicone liner, I tried one and it made everything steam instead of crisp, total waste of money. Just get the replacement basket, but check if the brand sells just the basket part and not the whole drawer thing.
